Estonian Independence Day 2021: The Shape of a Strange Year

2021 has been a crazy year. We wanted to capture that in our visual identity for the Independence day of 2021. We were inspired by the distortions made by a waving flag - it captures the oddity of the year but also the festivity of the day. To meet all our needs we designed a custom typeface that draws inspiration from both the runic letters and old woodcut typefaces of Estonia.
